The KLIR-RM1KIT is an Infra Red (IR) signal transport device. It is designed to extend the communication between an IR remote control and respective AV equipment e.g. Blu-ray player, set-top box, amplifier etc, which can be in a different room or hidden location. The IR receiver has a recess mount for discreet installation in walls, ceilings or cupboard doors.

The kit provides a total solution for control from one location but additional receivers can be added to allow control from multiple areas. The receiver is designed to accept IR frequencies of 38kHz ±2 Hz. This covers most popular brands and reduces the instances of interference from such sources as plasma TV, LCD TV and fluorescent lighting.

The kit includes two dual 'blink' IR emitters allowing 4 units to be controlled directly by IR, there are also two jack to jack cables supplied to feed directly into the IR-IN jacks of compatible components. Many higher end AV receivers and AV components have IR-IN on the back for this type of direct control.
