Panasonic have produced a superb monitor equally happy as a high class monitor at home or in the workplace.
The full HD resolution means the latest video signals can be played back with ease and at this size they look superb. Use the screen in landscape or portrait mode to create images of almost lifesize proportions.
A full array of video and PC input cards are available giving most video types and resolutions. (see bottom of page)
The screen however is physically big and heavy (117kg). Careful handling is required and if required specialist installation can be arranged, this would require a site survey to establish the logistics of getting the screen positioned. Please contact sales to discuss.
The 85" PF12 panel features Panasonic NeoPDP technology. The structure of the cells has been improved to provide twice the luminous efficiency compared to previous models. New materials are employed in its construction, the physical structure itself has been altered too, increasing the electrode size thus increasing the drive area.Behind this the circuits and drive engine has been revamped bringing cleaner white, blacker black and a colour palette that exceeds the HDTV standard.
The panel consists is a one-piece construction, no second layer of glass is used over the front of the plasma panel cutting down on internal reflections for an improved picture. This also means a dynamic black layer can be sandwiched in-between the plasma section and the front covering. This dramatically improves the black capabilities of the screen which in turn affects the whole image, providing a much smoother gradation. Viewing angle is also an important factor with colour accuracy being maintained over the whole range. As the pixels are self illuminating no loss is evident wherever you view from.
The improved processing and circuitry also means that resolution is kept at 1080 lines for moving images. Important if the screen is to be used to display anything with fast action: motor racing, sport, action movies etc. Nothing is lost from the incoming signal when HD 1080 material is used.

MultiDisplay
screens can be used in landscape or portrait mode with the image from any source spread across the screens as one picture. Screen borders are taken into account ensuring nothing is lost, important if using media with text information.
In landscape mode the image can be zoomed up to 5x. This means you can create matrix displays up to 5 x 5. 24 variations can be created in horizontal or vertical directions up to the 5x5 maximum.
The entire input signal is processed by the same video processing using AI technology to produce a uniform image.
Dual Picture
Two different AV sources can be displayed on-screen with audio selectable between the two. Either side-by-side display or PiP. In advanced mode a video signal can overlay a PC signal.
Blend Dual Picture
Overlays text froma PC onto motion based images
Weekly Command Timer
Automated display operation using the inbuilt clock timer. A variety of commands cab be stored to trigger automatically at set times.
Remote System Monitoring
Panasonic monitor command lets you monitor images from a distant location with a PC via RS232.
Text Overlay
Using RS232 you can overlay text onto video. Position, text and background colour and text size can be set. Used with the weekly command timer this can be registered in advance, ideal for digital signage.
Picture Profiles
Up to 8 sets of picture settings can be stored for recall instantly depending on the source being used.
Various other modes are available for use in studios plus a variety of screen saver functions to reduce the instance of image burn and wipes to clear afterimages. See manual for details.
