The internal 320GB hard drive allows vast storage of your music and photos but the system can easily be integrated with existing storage on your network. Multiple NAS devices can be made accessible easily as can share folders already existing on your PC. Used in 3 zone mode the audio can stream through 3 independent analogue audio outputs allowing each area to playback their own music without interfering with the others. If the video interface is required HDMI or VGA can be used and the system run as a single zone device.

Besides the audio storage the Sonix3 boasts bonus features such as YouTube playback, picture browsing, slideshows, BBC news and RSS browsing, Last.FM and more to come via regular internet-updates, Sonix© is unrivalled in the CI market.

If multiple units are used they can access the content on each others hard drive forming a seamless storage system. Alternatively they can be added to an existing DF BASE system to easily add additional audio zones and storage. If you decide to upgrade from this purely audio system and add a BASE server to the network, the two units operate together forming one large multiple zone video/audio system with seamless storage capability.

DF Solutions now has a clearly-tiered product range with the introduction of the Sonix3©. With this as their entry-level Multiroom Audio Server, and the Base©/Link© products offering Full-HD and multiroom video, resellers have a clear path for future upgrading and ‘bolting-on’ of units to existing A/V installs.
