The BBC are currently beta testing the i.player on the Freesat platform.
All 2010 Viera models from G20 and above will be compatible with the new service provided the satellite dish and broadband internet connection are made.
Now that G20 is available, you can see the beta version of the BBC i.player by the following process:

Select "Freesat"
Select any BBC channel
Press the "red button"
enter text page 5483
the i.player will load and the home page will be displayed

There are two levels of playback quality for you to choose:
A minimum connection speed of 1.5mb/s is required for the standard playback
A minimum connection speed of 3mb/s is recommended for the higher quality playback. The "high quality" playback is not HD but gives approximately the same picture quality as standard definition broadcasts
