The recent What Hi-Fi awards saw a buzz in the Philips camp as they hotly awaited the results. Their screens have been getting 5 star reviews from all the reviewers at a variety of publications and customer reaction has been favourable too. It is fair to say the Philips TV path was in need of some weeding but they have surpassed all expectations. The 2009 series of screens have some impressive technology driving them and plenty of additional features and connectivity. The designers have been busy too coming up with some smart looking units and ensuring build quality is maintained all the way to market. These stunning new sets are now receiving some impressive awards, not the least of which was the PRODUCT OF THE YEAR for TV, bestowed upon the 42PFL9664 full HD LCD TV.
