All the controls, extenders and PEP2 (Pronto Edit Professional 2) editing software have been updated so it is important to download all the new firmware and software before embarking on new projects to take full advantage of the updates.

New and improved in this update:-
- WiFi connectivity now supports WPA2 encryption meaning your Pronto projects can work an virtually all wireless networks. This more secure system does take longer to authenticate so first time button presses take 1-2 seconds to register with the system.
- Roaming performance has been improved.: Advanced settings in the PEP2 editor allow better roaming behaviour (reconnection to another access point when moving the Pronto through the home). See System Properties –Network – Advanced WiFi button.
- Improved control panel response after wake-up: In the advanced network settings you can indicate in more detail the amount of access points used and the used WiFi channels. When set properly this will improve the panel response after wake up.
- Pronto Script programming now allows the use of libraries and encryption to safeguard your scripts and control them more efficiently. The developers guide has more details on these JavaScript files.
- A debugger is now included for ProntoScript making problem solving more straightforward.
- PEP2 has two modes now, standard and enhanced. With standard ProntoScript and various other sections are not displayed giving more room on-screen for general programming.
For more information check the pronto website.
New Pronto Script modules appear all the time and the latest available for download by authorised level 2 programmers are:-
- IPAS interface for EIB/KNX
- Lutron Grafik Eye QS
- HAI Language update
- SIM2 video projector C3x (unapproved)
- Imerge MS5000 media server (approved)
Pronto partner, Polar Bear Solutions continue their development of accessories for the Pronto range with the introduction of a power sensing and control module. This can operate stand alone with any system but was designed for use with the RFX9600 extender.
Power sensing is achieved with the PBPSR and also there is the facility to control the power as it has full on/off switching ability.
