To pass the exam applicants must achieve a pass mark of 75% which gave them one entry into the draw, with anyone achieving over 90% earning two entries. Steve Barrett, Engineering Manager (AV) at SMC was the lucky recipient of the Pronto TSU-9400.
“Wow! I’m completely stoked! Speechless even”, says winner Steve. “Thank you so much everyone at AWE. You are AWEsome!”
Level 1 and 2 Certification tests can be taken online with installers able to take Level 1 (foundation) as many times as necessary to pass. If Level 2 is failed, installers must attend a one day training course before being able to re-take the test. Only those very familiar with the whole Pronto solution will achieve Level two status. The course teaches installers how to integrate devices and extenders into a fully configured system and looks at ProntoEdit software, networking and integration with extenders, using ProntoScript modules for 2-way communication via RS-232 & IP and troubleshooting.
Level 2 Certified Installers have their company listed on the dealer finder at www.awe-europe.com as an additional benefit to the company. Those wishing to go to the next level can take Level 3 Certification. This 1-day course provides training on project definition in a multi-room environment, followed by two practical tests in programming. An advanced working knowledge of networks, Pronto and Pronto Edit is required with topics including defining a project, configuring a Pronto network, best practices and understanding control formats. This is then followed by a practical test which is overseen and judged by AWE.
