AWE, the exclusive distributor for Cineversum in the UK, has announced details of the new Cineversum BlackWing Three. This latest generation projector is a full-HD projector, compatible natively with the most recent sources like Blu-ray or HD-DVD players and offers two HDMI 1.3 inputs, 1080p 24fps for a smooth and cinema-like motion, and a new full-glass optical lens with motorized zoom and focus.

In addition, the BlackWing Three has improved 3-LCOS technology, with three of the latest D-ILA 0.7’’ LCOS panels, which further enhances the already superb artifact free picture quality. It also features full-HD Resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, video compatibility up to 1080p-24 HDTV and silent working (noise < 21 dB).

The BlackWing Three has an improved light engine to achieve an amazing 30,000:1 native contrast, new Color-Select™filters to obtain a wider colour reproduction, 900 lumens Brightness and a measured contrast (40,000:1 native at chip) which is the same as a CRT and the  reference Cine 8 digital CRT projector. The 2 x optical zoom has a 1.4-2.8:1 throw ratio with +/- 80% vertical, +/- 34% horizontal lens shift. Each unit undergoes vigorous pre-sale testing on two occasions and individually calibrated by Cineversum’s highly experienced video engineers. The BlackWing Three is also compatible with the new Cineversum Theatre Concept Kit enabling true anormorphic (2.35:1 ratio) projection on demand.
