In a new move from AWE and Pioneer, these high quality products are exclusively available to CEDIA members who must install the products in a consumer’s home as part of a wider custom installation. In addition they must be able to provide on-site support to that customer and have full access to training at AWE.
AWE’s close contact with its customer base and ability to hand hold these sales enable this strategy to be effectively implemented without causing conflict alongside Pioneer's direct Works agreement with retailers. This step has been taken in recognition of the premium equipment and the standard of work that a CEDIA member provides.
“This agreement between ourselves and Pioneer is a real stamp of quality and, as CEDIA members ourselves, we know that by providing these screens exclusively to home owners through CEDIA installers alone we can ensure that homeowners will not only have a fantastic screen but one that has been installed to the highest standards too” explains Stuart Tickle, MD of AWE. “We appreciate that you don’t have to be a CEDIA member to do a quality installation, but it was one of the few tangible things that Pioneer were able to see that distinguishes one installer from another. By offering an extended two-year guarantee as well, we are sure that the Pioneer works products will be in high demand.”
The Pioneer Works is a range of products that enable dealers to differentiate themselves via the added benefits of providing excellent service and improved warranty. The aim is to ensure a long term relationship with customers and to add value to the consumer experience when they are choosing products that potentially require more specialist product knowledge, as is also provided by AWE.
Through this deal, AWE is able to supply both products and technical support for the Pioneer Works products, all backed up by training sessions at AWE’s HQ training facility in Epsom, Surrey. The company also be provides a Pioneer two-year warranty for qualifying Works products through a special registration procedure. For those CEDIA members keen to sign up to the agreement they must maintain their CEDIA member status, always install the Pioneer Works products as part of a residential custom install to a standard in keeping with the premium equipment and provide high-level customer service on-site. The screens are not available for general re-sale.
